How to Access Your Files from Home

Window Vista

To add a shortcut to your Windows Vista computer that allows you to access files at DCHS using WebDAV:

1. From the desktop, click Computer
2. Click Map Network Drive
3. On the Map Network Drive screen, click Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures, and then click Next
4. Click Choose a custom network location, and then click Next
5. In the Internet or network address field, enter http://www.crusaderconnection.com/schoolyear where schoolyear is the year you are expected to graduate. (e.g. 2010, 2011…)
6. Click Next

You may now drag and drop folders between your computer and the server. To delete an item, right-click it and select Delete.

Windows XP

To use the Add Network Place Wizard to add a shortcut to your computer that allows you to upload and access files at DCHS using WebDAV

1. Click Start
2. Open My Computer
3. In the left frame, click My Network Places
4. In the Network Tasks pane, click Add a network place
5. On the welcome screen, click Next
6. Select Choose another network location, and then click Next
7. In the Internet or network address: field, enter http://www.crusaderconnection.com/schoolyear where schoolyear is the year you are expected to graduate. (e.g. 2010, 2011…)

You may now drag and drop folders between your computer and the server. However, you cannot delete items from the server by dragging them to the Recycle Bin on your desktop. To delete an item, right-click it and select Delete.

Mac

1. On the Finder menu bar select Go
2. Select Connect to Server…
3. In the Server Address box type http://www.crusaderconnection.com/schoolyear where schoolyear is the year you are expected to graduate. (e.g. 2010, 2011…)
4. Click Connect
